1/26/19-Adding to its long list of honors, the Chrysler Pacifica takes home a notable distinction from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is now the title-holder of Best EV in Canada. As part of the AJAC’s annual Canadian Car and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year awards program, the Best EV title now places the Pacifica Hybrid in the running for the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year award, which the Chrysler Pacifica took home in 2018. This year’s award will be announced on Feb. 14, at Toronto’s Canadian International AutoShow.
“We’re very proud to receive this homegrown award for Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid from the expert members of AJAC,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, FCA Canada. “It is the third AJAC win in three years for our game-changing minivan and highlights the Hybrid’s exclusive combination of a cutting-edge, highly-efficient powertrain, advanced connectivity, safety, comfort and family-focused utility. With over 110 awards since its debut, Chrysler Pacifica remains the most awarded minivan in the marketplace.”
As the only electrified minivan on the market, the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid delivers an eco-friendly option to families and an impressive driving range. When relying only on electric power, the Pacifica Hybrid earns a range of more than 31 miles. It boasts an EPA-estimated combined rating of 82 MPGe. The 2019 Chrysler Pacific Hybrid is available at three trim levels: Touring Plus, Touring L, and Limited. Each trim is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 eHybrid paired to an eFlite Single Input Electrically Variable Transmission to generate a total system horsepower rating of 260.
